Is it just me or is the good Doctor paying himself homage? It’s one thing to have others praise you & your work, but to keep reminding people how this is your last joint and have your protege/employee beg you not to leave? Seems a little self-important. Make a great last work, bow out gracefully and let some music channel air a retrospective show about how great you were and how things aren’t the same without you. Don’t force reverence on the public before you drop the album. We know you’re awesome. Don’t yell “I’m so great, you’re gonna miss me!”
By far some of the doctors best work to date. Good stuff.
