Nas keeps it real about his daughter and Carmen is not impressed

Nas seems to have had a rough relationship with his daughter Destiny. Being a famous rapper who’s traveling often and not around on a daily basis has surely made it difficult to raise his daughter properly, and Nas expresses this fact in his new song “Daughters”.
In the song, he speaks on all sorts of things involving his relationship with his daughter and how she had to grow up faster since she had Nas as a father. Despite the fact that Nas is dropping truth in the song, his ex-girl, Carmen Bryan, Destiny’s mother, is highly upset over the song.
She expressed her disapproval of the track on Twitter and ended up engaging in various verbal back and forths with Nas’ fans. According to Carmen, the song will hurt Destiny when she hears it, because it is not saying anything positive about her, and it is exposing a lot of personal matters. Carmen feels as though Nas should have let his daughter hear the song before he released it to the public, to allow her the chance to give her opinion on the content of the song.

I would like to first say I luv the song it’s very inspirational to other young fathers who don’t pay attention to their own kids I believe the song shows a man who made mistakes as a parent but is man enough to learn from the admit them and move on second Carmen you say he doesn’t owe the public anything well sorry honey it’s the fans money who got your baby father where he is with every cd we buy every concert we attend we are supporting him so if we not happy with him it’s kinda like he’s unemployed then what would your child support checks look like another thing I didn’t see him bashing you about your tell all book did u ever think how your daughter would feel all her family biz n the streets no all u thought about was the money you would get so stop with th BS because your making your self sound like another attention seeking bird brain tacky baby momma have some class respect your bd music because I’m sure that’s what pays your bills
Carmen knows this reflects on here as well, as a parent. Plenty of kids turned out great having a parent in the entertainment business ….it’s the other half that’s spending most of the time with the kid who keeps them grounded.
But, it’s Carmen who also wants the spotlight and celebrity status ….all on twitter talking how she’s ballin’ …. she knew what her daughter was posting on twitter, she bought Destiny a benz for her first car ….she’s to blame too …but Nas is putting it all on himself as a father ….
Carmen & kelis should get together and Nas bash. It is their only relevance

I listened to the song and didn’t hear anything harmful that wasn’t made public already (pic with condoms). Do you think the book you published had a neg. impact on ur daughter? U revealed lots of things in ur book……. Was you thinking of ur daughter? Did u ask her to read it b4 u put it out?
Very important to be around for the lil one’s growth. She’s rebelling right now because of Nas absence and ma dukes probably ain’t help much with her being known as a jump off for Jay. Top it off she is probably talking about Nas to her like he ain’t $h!t. Hope he can strengthen his relationship with his daughter.
