In “Even multi-millionaires have temper tantrums” news, Amare Stoudemire lacerated his left hand after getting into a fight with a fire extingusher.
Reports Bleach Report:
The New York Knicks didn’t just drop their 12th consecutive playoff game tonight to the Miami Heat. They may have lost their power forward as well.
That’s because following the game Amar’e pulled a bit of a Kevin Brown and punched a fire extinguisher casing in anger at the poor performance by his team.
Needless to say it looks as though the fire extinguisher casing won this battle.
Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports is already reporting that Amar’e needed stitches to close the wound. As of now there’s no word on whether or not Amar’e will be able to play in game three at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday Night.
While all fans appreciate passion from their favorite players this little display of emotion may prove to be the nail in what was already looking like a rapidly closing postseason coffin for the Knicks.
NBA Network has footage of Stoudemire leaving the locker room with his hand wrapped and his arm in a sling and Deadspin has a still image of it as well.
New York is already down 2-0 to a Miami Heat team that looks quite comfortable on the court playing the Knicks. The Knicks might not win a series against the Heat with or without Amar’e but they might not even win a game against the Heat if Stoudemire misses more than a game or two.
I see said the blind man. And now…
This is EbenGregory.com…telling you whatever is begun in anger ends in shame.
