As a retaliation for issuing a subpoena for his ex-girlfriend Kris Humphries and his legal team are currently eyeing Kim’s current beau, Kanye West, to subpoena him for questioning.
Reports Hollywood Heavy:
A source close to the action revealed that Humphries and his lawyers weren’t planning on issuing a subpoena for Kim’s exes, but now feel that everything is fair game. Since Kim recently told Oprah that West “knows everything” about her, it makes perfect sense that Kris’ legal team would ask Kanye to testify about their relationship.
“[Humphries' lawyer] has no choice but to depose [West]. Kim has publicly said that she and Kanye have been friends for years, and Kris’ lawyers want to know if the two were ever intimate before they went public with their relationship a few months ago.”
The source added that Humphries doesn’t believe that Kim cheated on him during their 72-day marriage.
After a back and forth debate it was ultimately decided that the depositions wouldn’t be filmed, much to the surprising dissatisfaction of Humphries. The depositions are expected to take place in the next few weeks with a trial date likely to be set later this year.
