Hey…old people can hate (give opinions) too.

Reports HipHopDX:
Though Diddy has undeniably made his mark in Hip Hop, it appears that one legendary producer remains unimpressed.
Quincy Jones, perhaps best known for his classic work on Michael Jackson’s albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad, recently had some choice words for the Bad Boy founder at the Spotify Stories Behind the Music event at the Andaz Hotel in Hollywood, California.
Jones spoke with event host Bruno Mars, opining that DIddy “couldn’t recognize a b flat if it hit him,” according to HipHopWired.
Jones continued, explaining that Diddy’s aptitude is in business, not in music. “P. Diddy has a doctorate in marketing, he’s got clothes companies, and Ciroc vodka.”
The famed producer also recalled his storied career, which included work with Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, and many others.
“People bought music before they bought clothes or shoes,” said Jones of earlier times.
And now…Diddy reacts.

This is EbenGregory.com…telling you in free countries, every man is entitled to express his opinions and every other man is entitled not to listen. But you don’t hear me doe.

And Diddy say’s …..hold on a sec I’m on the phone….making more money. LOL
Quincy Jones is the greatest producer in the history of recorded music. There’s nobody even close to his accomplishments.
Ok. SOOOO, in the last 6 months, The Great Quincy Jones has said that 1) Kanye West “Is just a rapper. Knows nothing about production”.. even though the evidence clearly shows that Kanye is one of the finest Producers/Arrangers of the last decade.
THEN he says that “Diddy wouldn’t recognize a B Flat”.. when AGAIN the evidence shows that Diddy may not be able to write an orchestra, but the boy has GOLDEN ears, as he has discovered many a talent, including, but not limited to arguably the most technically gifted and proficient rapper of all time, The Notorious B.I.G. This does not even include how wonderful a job Mr. Combs did when he constructed Jay-Z’s classic “American Gangster” album from top to bottom.
Therefore, the evidence v. Mr. Jones’ comments leads me to presume that Mr. Jones is under-informed and speaking from a place of whimsy, rather than from researched intelligence. This does not make him any less of an artist, but it does take him WAY DOWN in the “trustable source” factor on modern music.
.. At least in my eyes.
How come Quincy aint talking shit `bout any white producers….#MyBlackPeople….SMFH
he professes to be a mogul…not a singer. the fact that artists(albeit new) flock to him, tells me they recognize that marketing “genius”. good luck getting a hold of any sizeable checks though.

man he’s making a good point. Music was never about promoting and marketing products, but diddy took music and threw all that in. Diddy’s not the only one and I respect his craft, but musically Diddy did nothing for the culture (himself) save for finding talent and yelling on their tracks.
N word plural gonna hate.
Hold up! Are you implying that Quincy Jones is hating on Diddy?
…and even more so, are you equating Quincy Jones to a “N word plural?” …kids these days.
