Frank Ocean’s marketing plan worked.

Reports SBTV:
After surprising the world with the “announcement” and then moving his debut album, Channel ORANGE, one week ahead of schedule; Frank Ocean is currently sitting comfortably at the top of the charts.
That’s right, Channel ORANGE has gone straight in at #1 on the UK iTunes Chart — as well as in the US, Australia and basically every country which is able to understand the English language.
The news of the early release was announced last night just before the singer’s appearance on US chat show, Jimmy Fallon. Frank took to the stage and stunned the audience and millions watching at home with a riveting performance of Bad Religion, a track taken from the album.
After a phenomenal period of intense media coverage recently (due to the revelations regarding his sexuality), we’re sure Frank is delighted that the album is receiving such positive feedback. And so it should, too – with features from the likes of Andre 3000, John Mayer and Odd Future cohort, Earl Sweatshirt, it’s no surprise the world has snapped up the album as early as possible.
I see said the blind man. And now…
This is EbenGregory.com…telling you Def Jam obviously spent a lot in marketing because they think the product sells itself.

I bought the album. But not because Frank came out, but cause it’s Odd Future.
“INEGRITY” is not a hell of a drug…
What is?
Wow. It’s almost like Frank did everything the wrong way and it worked out right. Wouldn’t be surprised if a few more artists tried to use the same strategy to market their upcoming albums.
