Apparently Murs is trying to “ride” that Frank Ocean wave.

Looks like change is coming slowly but surely in the Hip Hop community when it comes to gay acceptance. Right on the heels of Frank Ocean’s coming out, indie rapper Murs features a gay romance in his music video for “Animal Style.”
In the video, Murs plays Jason, a high school student who is carrying on a secret love affair with Roderick, a fellow classmate. Unable to accept who he really is, Jason takes matters into his own hands, leading to a tragic ending for both young men.

Yes, a poor example,,,,,,As a young, educated, God fearing, homeowner, money in the bank, helping my community, black, Gay man….there are sooooo many more examples. The act, is so over rated but how I live is so unstated…you dare not want to know me, “cuz you can’t handle the truth.”
I disagree about this being a poor example of the LGBTQ community. It is a good view of how things actually are. How often do we read about teenagers and young men killing themselves? I hope that Obama, Frank Ocean, videos such as this, 50 Cent, Jay Z, etc will allow for others to realize their bias and homophobic views (especially if based on The Bible) are wrong and will no longer be tolerated. It will take a while, but it is a start.
Well, about time… I bet the number of thug rappers will go down.. No need to put up a front anymore. The majority of men in the industry are gay anyway.

I don’t see how there is any poor examples of the Gay community,Everyone has a different story to tell,and While I understand this might not be your story,doesn’t mean that it’s not true!I guarantee you that this kind of story has happened and it’s happened more than likely,too Often!More importantly than anything I would say that as long as the stories are being told,then something is working within the Lesbian and Gay Community!If people are speaking up at record numbers,than stories like these are undoubtedly helping and raising awareness!
