Dr. Dre has struck a deal with cable network FX for a potential show pilot.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the “project explores the present-day music business in Los Angeles, and how that interacts with the city’s criminal activity.”
The script was penned by writer Sidney Quashie and Dr. Dre, who will both executive produce the show. Dre’s Crucial Films/Crucial TV company and Brad Bertner will serve as co-exec producers.
