Fabolous Goes At Lil Wayne W/ NY Anthem: “I’m So New York, Weezy Probably Don’t Like Me” (Audio)

Fabolous is putting on for his city with a new banger titled “So NY” which references Lil Wayne’s recent slight to the Big Apple.

Fabolous Goes At Lil Wayne W/ NY Anthem: "I'm So New York, Weezy Probably Don't Like Me" (Audio)

In the opening verse, Fab acknowledges how former local stars have moved on from the Empire State while taking aim at Weezy F. Baby throughout the chorus.

“I’m so New York, Weezy probably don’t like me, I’m so New York, Weezy probably don’t like me,” Fab raps. “For my city, emphasis on my city/You gotta go to LA if you looking for Diddy/You gotta check CT if you looking for Fiddy/N*ggas in Paris, but what about the city/I’m so NY like the folks who make Playstation/Hope y’all enjoyed your summer vacation…”

Last month, Lil Wayne ruffled some feathers when he revealed his dislike of New York City.

Lil Wayne has never been shy about expressing his disdain for New York, but that didn’t stop Tunechi from rolling through the Roseland Ballroom to rock the stage with Nicki Minaj. “Flat out: I don’t like New York,” Weezy told MTV News on Monday night while in Las Vegas to introduce his new line of sneakers with Supra.

And now…the audio.

This is EbenGregory.com…telling you some rappers aren’t satisfied just to make a good song. Sometimes they’re looking to make a statement.

It’s interesting how these rappers (wayne notwithstanding) dislike the very city in which the art form was created and made them/him a houshold name and more importantly….extremely rich.

We have seen the hiphop cops that was started in NYC. Had I had the same issues I might feel the same way. But great song to get your name heard back in the streets without the rumors of Ray J putting them paws on you.
