Trinidad James wants you to know something about Molly.

“All Gold Everything” is getting a lot of attention these days and the phrase he spits “popped a Molly I’m sweating, whoo!” is very popular on social media and in the streets.
“Molly,” short for molecule is MDMA (ecstacy) in powder or crystalline form. It has become the “it” drug in hip hop. Many artists from Juicy J to Kanye West have named dropped the drug in songs, but it’s Trinidad who is getting the most attention for it.
MTV spoke to the Atlanta rapper about the drug and why he thinks it has become so popular.
“All the people are like, ‘I don’t know what it is, but every time I hear the song, I just wanna do it,’ ” James said. “That’s a terrible excuse, but go ‘head, get high, go ‘head. Blame Trinidad, blame it on me.”
James said it’s not a drug he abuses. He thinks it’s just a good way to get a party started.
“I might go months without doin’ anything and then I’ll be like, you know, when I’m in L.A., I wanna party with these people. I feel like I can’t get turnt up fast enough, I’m just gonna do this,” he said.
Juicy J, Chris Webby and others also chimed in on the drug’s popularity.
“I just think people are more open now. Back then, some people were just keeping it on the low and doin’ it how they want to do it,” Juicy J added. “Now people are a little more like, ‘F*ck that.’ This year everybody’s like, ‘F*ck that sh*t, yeah I’m on Molly.’ ”
“Now it’s a like super acceptable thing,” Webby says. “Before Molly it was just straight E pills, but now Molly is just so much cleaner. That’s become the new trend.“

Theres an organization called Dance Safe that tests pills for free at events but i think they mainly set up at clubs and raves. I think they have testing kits also. The main thing that makes people sick is dehydration. If you get all amped up, are more active than usual and then forget to drink h2o or have energy drinks or alcohol instead it can cause kidney and heart problems or make a mild case of alcohol poisoning life threatening. Always eat a good meal beforehand also. This is comin from a former raver/club kid/street pharmacist whose been doin it occasionally since 95. I personally think its better than clubs full of people on coke or even alcohol. They promote any violent or depressed feelings people might already have. MDMA has been successfully used to treat emotional trauma, PTSD and addiction to alcohol and other drugs.

You are misinformed.MDMA does NOT contain Meth as in Crystal Meth and is milder than MDA.MDA is slightly more toxic than it’s sister MDMA.Average user won’t know the difference.However,both are different.The X pill on the streets is filled w/ additives & if you buy Molly off the street,use a testing kit to find out the purity cause dealers use random fillers.

Understood.But,more than 78% of ppl who become ill is because they think more is better.So,they double the dosage for more fun.The side effect other than dehydration is minor depression on the day after.This drug is used heavily here in Miami Beach,however for the large amount of ppl who causally take it,the % to finding ppl who are severely ill are slim.
A “bottom line” statement doesn’t justify the misinformation you just spewed. Meth = The “M” in MDMA is just WRONG. It’s okay to admit you were wrong. And being deep in the rave scene in NYC doesn’t equate to professional knowledge of drugs. A lot of people get sick or die from drugs, whether the drugs are tampered with or not, in raves and elsewhere.
