When President Barack Obama delivers his State of the Union speech tonight, one woman will be watching and hoping that the president touches on immigration reform.

It has been one month since Andrea Herrera, the woman infamously known to the hip hop world as Kat Stacks, was released from a federal prison after being detained in immigration custody for 2 years with no charges filed against her.
Kat Stacks immigration reform In the video, Herrera (who describes herself as a “former DREAMer” of Barack Obama’s “Dream Act”) and her mother, Johnyelsi Cardenas, discuss the need for immigrants to “stick together and stand up to help The President fight the battle of fixing the Broken Immigration System.”
“DON’T BE AFRAID!” writes Herrera in a blurb accompanying the video on Worldstarhiphop.com.
A sad moment occurs when Herrera introduces her 2-year-old son, T.J., who was an infant when Herrera was locked up.
“He still hasn’t adjusted yet that I’m his mother since I’ve been away for so long,” she says as T.J. virtually ignores her. “He thinks my mother is his mother,” says Herrera as T.J. seeks comfort in Cardenas’s arms.

Well Kat can consider herself lucky because President Obama did mention immigration reform, including making it easier for those with special skills to become nationalized. So if being an annoying groupie, is a special skill, she is a shoe in.
