In late 2012 Ryan Leslie was ordered to pay $1 million to a man who found his missing laptop in 2010, and the incident reportedly has ties to Jay-Z and Kanye West. According to AllHipHop.com, Leslie blew off two concerts in Germany to work with Jay and Kanye for “Watch the Throne,” which upset the promoters.
Ryan had stashed his belongings, including a laptop, in a car provided for him by the promoters and didn’t remove them after canceling the show. Ryan’s belongings, including the $1 million laptop were missing when he came back, which many believe was taken by the promoters.
It was also reported that the promoters allegedly conspired with the man who found Ryan’s laptop to cash in on the $1 million reward.
Ryan reportedly knows he can’t prove what went down, but is fighting to pay the reward because he’s suspicious of the promoters.
