Born March 3, 1971 in Harlem, New York, Damon Dash was at one time one of Hip-Hop’s most successful moguls, once had an estimated net worth of $50 million. Today Damon Dash owes $2 million in taxes. As a youngster, Dash attended private schools in New York and recognized his calling at an early age. His success as a record producer led him to branch out into other field where he has also enjoyed much success.
He founded two clothing lines, Rocawear and a Hip-Hop line, as well. The businesses brought him additional success and he soon branched out into film production. His film company has produced a number of noteworthy films, including The Woodsman, starring Kevin Bacon and Paid in Full with Mekhi Phifer. Dash has appeared in films, as well, although he is primarily a producer and not an actor. Damon Dash is currently working on the introduction of a new clothing line. It will be called CEO Clothing.
