Buzz of baby No. 2 on board kicked into gear on Monday. Now Beyoncé has announced she’s canceling her Tuesday concert in Belgium because of dehydration and exhaustion. The singer’s publicist tells AP that Beyoncé has been advised by her doctors to rest. She was scheduled to perform at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. The show will be rescheduled and tickets can be used at that show. Her next tour date is Wednesday at the same arena. The statement says “she is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision.” (USA Today)

Possibly the strangest request on the leaked rider is $900 worth of drinking straws for her dressing rooms.

“The Single Ladies singer forked out $900 for titanium straws, which will be used to drink a special alkaline water that’s served at exactly 21 degrees,” an insider tells The FIX.

According to the source, the 31-year-old also insists her crew, from drivers to set riggers, wear only 100 per cent pure cotton, presumably to save her from allergic reactions.

Bey also demands plain off-white walls in her dressing rooms, with a new toilet seat at every event, and will only use red toilet paper.

There’s also the hand-carved ice-ball to suck after every performance to cool her throat, along with the banning of junk food in favour of glass platters of almonds, oatcakes and green-only crudités.

It’s not the first time Beyonce’s tour demands have been leaked. When Beyonce’s career is over in a couple of years, the untalented singer will only be remembered for ripping off the creative works of others. Billboard magazine, which usually writes puff pieces in servile deference to Beyonce, wrote a particularly scathing op-ed piece about Beyonce’s shameless thievery today.

“Any artist, including Beyoncé, can wear whatever another artist wore, but that multiplicity gets suspicious and easily pegged as stealing,” Billboard writes.

After listing Beyonce’s more notorious creative thefts over the years, the music magazine concludes:

But more bothersome than Bey’s inspiration-turned-imitation act – and less subtle as her career progresses – is that she’s playing off the risks that other artists have been brave enough to take (and appropriately praised for) instead of challenging herself and taken some herself.

Perhaps visual and dance concepts don’t come as naturally to her as vocal prowess, but I’m doubtful that she can recruit those for which it does. Even as a vocal performer, Beyonce is more of a canvas than a creator.

Dash’s timeline is a ripe breeding ground for controversial statements, especially after her strange endorsement of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney last year. Her latest salvo was a slight critique of Jay and Beyoncé’s recent (and federally-endorsed) trip to Cuba. This time, Dash not only throws a touch of shade on Beyoncé by not mentioning her name, she flat out calls the pair supporters of communism.

“Do you care that The Jay Z”s have taken the capital you have given them and funded a communist oppressive regime?” read Dash’s tweet. Sparking over 250 retweets in a half-hour and a lot of unprintable replies, it appears Dash hasn’t learned her lesson from last year’s Twitter fiasco, including the letter to TMZ after Romney’s losing effort.

With a little reading, Dash would have known that the superstars’ journey to Cuba was not one of leisure. Instead, the journey was a cultural trip and did not violate the U.S. trade embargo placed on the island nation.

According to reports, Republican members of Congress have reached out to the U.S. Treasury Department to find out if the superstar couple had a license to visit Cuba last week.

In a letter dated on Friday, U.S. Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, asked Adam Szubin, director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, for “information regarding the type of license that Beyonce and Jay-Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel.” Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart represent districts in south Florida where there is a high Cuban-American population. “Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple’s trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda,” the letter said. “We represent a community of many who have been deeply and personally harmed by the Castro regime’s atrocities, including former political prisoners and the families of murdered innocents.” (Yahoo News)

The music stars could face the wrath of having to pay a fine if things do not go their way.

The AP further reports that the State Department didn’t know about the trip prior. And, if the couple did not obtain the proper licenses to travel to Cuba, they could pay a fine. While the embargo has been in place for over 50 years, President Obama has made concessions for travel there for academic, religious or cultural exchanges. (MTV)

Cuban activist Maurico Claver-Carone publicly spoke out against the mega couple heading into the weekend.

Mauricio Claver-Carone, the D.C. director for the US-Cuba Democracy PAC — a group committed to fighting for democracy in Cuba — tells TMZ the A-listers should’ve educated themselves about what’s really going on there before taking photo ops. Jay and Bey were photographed Thursday in Havana — reportedly to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary — but have since come under fire from some Cuban-American groups. (TMZ)

A website — we’re not disclosing the name — has posted social security numbers, mortgage amounts, credit card info, car loans, banking and other info of major celebs. In addition to Beyonce and Jay-Z … the site has snagged financial dossiers of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Joe Biden, Robert Mueller, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.

The site was not able to get a lot on Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, but most of the others on the list have had their financial info compromised.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the LAPD has already launched an investigation. We’re told the FBI is looking into it.

And in a new video about the initiative, Beyonce will debut new music for the cause.

Salma Hayek has tapped her A-list friends to lead a global charitable campaign through Gucci. Salma, who is married to François Pinault, the owner of PPR group who is the parent company of the Gucci brand, tapped co-founders Beyoncé and Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director for the project.

Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Jada Pinkett Smith and more serve on the advisory board of the project as well.

Chime For Change is an initiative that aims to raise funds and awareness in support of projects for girls and women around the world, through sharing “powerful stories” about inspiring females. And the “Halo” singer, pictured above in her official image for the cause, is putting her superstardom and her own stories to use.

“I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be,” said Beyoncé to Vogue UK about the campaign. “It’s up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I’m honored to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.”

Beyonce also has a musical role in the campaign.  Today, at the TEDxWomen luncheon, the campaign will be officially announced and a short film with make its debut. Salma is the narrator of the video, and it’s set to new music by Bey herself.

The video is the first in a series of ten Chime For Change short films featuring inspirational women’s stories.

One hip-hop mogul understands the power of the Bey Hive apparently. His plan? Offer young gunslingers who turn in their weapons mentorships and free tickets to a Beyonce concert.

Michael (Blue) Williams, the head of Family Tree Entertainment, has pitched the city’s first private-sector gun buyback program to NYPD brass and is waiting for Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly’s okay.

“We want to get as many guns off the streets, and if this works, we’d like to support it,” Kelly told the Daily News, adding that the proposal needs more study.

If the idea is accepted, Williams — who has managed the wildly successful careers of OutKast and Cee-Lo Green and has the ear of hip-hop and rap royalty — said he’ll solicit help from none other than Beyoncé.

“The Beyoncé show is coming to Brooklyn; the Jay-Z show is coming to Yankee Stadium. Our goal is to reach out to individuals who are in my industry, in my world and who I have an association with and get their support,” Williams, 43, said Monday.

“I think we should all work together to help get guns off the streets,” Williams said.

This might just work better than Obama’s plan!

Michael Jackson‘s former masterpiece of a home Neverland Ranch hasn’t had a person living in it since 2005. that might change in the near future because it is rumored the new king and queen of music, Jay-Z and Beyonce are looking to buy the King of Pop’s former home.

According to AOL Real Estate, a “source close to the Jackson estate” said the power couple have toured the property and have expressed interest. However, Jay-Z has claimed he has not one ounce of an interest in buying Jackson’s former mansion that sits on 3,000 acres with its own amusement park and fire department. The Jackson family source believes the opposite, saying, “If [the current owners] took them to the ranch … there must be something to it.”

Michael Jackson officially lost Neverland Ranch in 2008 when a private equity firm bought out the $23.5 million loan Jackson defaulted on. Kelly Rowland celebrated her birthday on Monday, and joined up with Beyonce and Solange to dine in L.A. at Gjelina Restaurant on trendy Abbott Kinney Boulevard. Despite it being a joyous occasion Kelly emerged from the restaurant in tears.

The Oprah’s Next Chapter chat will apparently talk about the Beyonce-directed documentary, and also is being touted as her first interview about her showstopping Super Bowl performance.

Beyoncé was last interviewed by Winfrey for the Oprah show in 2008, where the “Single Ladies” singer talked about her new album, but notably refused to say much of anything about her then-recent marriage to Jay-Z. Perhaps she’ll get more personal this time around.

Are we the only ones who thought Beyonce Knowles’ Super Bowl halftime show was going to provide the mega-star with a HUGE paycheck? In my mind, any artist that graces one of the hugest American stages, for such a big sports event, was surely to bring in some serious dough, but apparently, I’m wrong. According to Forbes, the NFL doesn’t pay a dime for any of the artists that perform. NFL spokesperson Greg McCarthy confirmed via email:

“We do not pay. We cover all expenses associated with the performance.”

So what are costs associated with the actual performance? Travel, lodging, setup, fees for backup dancers and musicians—which reportedly comes in around $600,000 or more. So, why would Beyonce or any big name act agree to work for free? Derek Jackson, cofounder of advertising agency Glu, suggests it’s for exposure-duh!

“There is not anything like it. The Super Bowl, for an artist, is considered the medium of all mediums. You can’t beat it from a promotional standpoint. You garner so many eyeballs at one time. This is a Pepsi event, so I’d have to make the argument that this was in her deal. I can’t imagine it being any other way … What better way to make it known to the world that Beyoncé is the face of Pepsi?”

“About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time,” the singer reportedly says in “Life Is But a Dream.” “And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life.”

But then, the unexpected happened.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office posted notice that the superstars’ application to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter” faces no opposition. (Multiple news outlets incorrectly reported last fall that the Carters’ claim had been denied, which was, of course, absurd: Jay-Z and Beyonce never lose.)

It’s not over yet: The next step is to prove within three years that they are using the trademark for the various purposes sought — i.e., skin cream, music, key chains, eyeglasses, strollers, scrunchies, software, or teething rings, among other products. Their lawyer did not respond for comment.

Beyonce’s performance of the National Anthem during President Barack Obama’s Inauguration on Monday was surrounded by controversy, after reports came out that Bey lip-synched her performance.

Master Sgt. Kristin DuBois of the U.S. Marine Band told numerous outlets yesterday that Bey requested to use a “pre-recording” of her voice for the National Anthem and that she “did not actually sing.” Kristin also added that “we don’t know why the decision was made.” She also added that using pre-recordings were not uncommon.

However, after making these claims, a Marine Corps. spokesperson spoke out and started to backpedal…somewhat. The spokesperson said:

“Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter’s vocal performance. No one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.”

The spokesperson did confirm, however, that the music was pre-recorded, saying:

“There was no opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the Inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised for such a high-profile event.”

OK, just to clarify: the Marines can’t confirm if Beyonce lip-synched or not, but they can confirm that the music behind was pre-recorded. Got it.

Knowles’ baby mama Alexsandra Wright filed legal docs, asking the family court judge to up her child support to cover expenses for security to protect their kid. Mathew is currently on the hook for $12k a month.

Wright claims she needs security because of a “threatening” email Knowles sent her back in September 2011, in which he wrote, “You hurt my family. There’s a price to pay.”

According to the docs, Wright also wants additional dough to cover expenses for a secure, private school.

Sources close to Knowles tell TMZ … he faithfully pays child support, adding the only reason he hasn’t paid expenses for schooling is because they haven’t agreed on the school.

We’re told Knowles thinks Wright’s latest legal move could backfire because his income has drastically decreased since the original order was issued. As you know, Beyonce gave him walking papers in 2011.

Knowles believes the judge could actually reduce his monthly payments.

Beyonce you have a unique position in the cultural life of this country and are an inspiring role model for millions of young people.

Your image is one of success, health, talent, fitness, and glamour. But by lending your name and image to PepsiCo, you are associating those positive attributes with a product that is quite literally sickening Americans.

I imagine that it must be hard for anyone to turn away $50 million. But this endorsement deal strikes me as particularly inappropriate, considering your popularity with America’s young people and the extent to which Pepsi and other sugary drinks promote disease.

The New York Times attributed to you a statement that this endorsement agreement allows you “to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing [your] creativy.” It seems to me that this deal is actually an enormous comprise. In fact, I would characterize this as an even bigger compromise than your accepting $2 million to perform at the 2009 New Year’s Eve bash thrown by Hannibal Gaddafi, the famously violent son of the now-deceased Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

You realized that that arrangement was in error and wisely donated those proceeds to charity, I respectfully urge you to reconsider your arrangement with PepsiCo. If you move ahead with your promotional activities, you may wish to consider donating your proceeds to a hospital, diabetes organization or another reputable charity involved in the prevention or treatment of soda-related diseases.

New watch alert… HUBLOT! According to reports, Beyonce Knowles plunked down a whopping $5 Million to buy husband Jay-Z Hublot’s Big Bang timepiece.

The extraordinary timepiece, which has been dubbed The $5 Million Watch by Hublot due to its price, is set with 1,282 VVS G color diamonds.

The Big Bang was put on display at the BaselWorld show earlier this year and was said to be the most expensive watch exhibited at the show which is famous for its luxury timepieces.

The $5 million” a watch comprising no less than 1,282 diamonds.

“This is the most precious watch ever created by Hublot and its long-standing partner, Atelier Bunter in Geneva,” said Hublot.

The piece is the result of 14 months work, including that of a “master-cutter” from New York who fashioned the largest stones.

Jean-Claude Biver, president of the watch company, said it would be difficult to make a more expensive watch “because the surface of the watch is limited.”

Details of the new collaborative effort surfaced online Monday (December 10) morning.

In an expansion of the recent marketing experiments that have brought Pepsi Co ever closer to the music industry, the company has embarked on a hybrid project with Beyoncé that will include standard advertising like commercials as well as a multimillion-dollar fund to support the singer’s chosen creative projects. “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.” (New York Times)

Pepsi will play a big role in Bey’s future touring and music projects.

At some point after her Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance on February 3rd (of which Pepsi is a sponsor), the singer will appear in a new TV ad for the soft drink, which will also feature her face on a limited-edition run of soda cans. The deal will also involve sponsorship of her tour next year (Beyoncé is expected to release a new album at some point in 2013), along with a multi-million dollar fund for Beyoncé’s creative projects, even if they have no obvious connection to Pepsi. Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, general manager of Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment, said those collaborative projects could include live events, videos or “a cool photo shoot,” but are still at the early stages of development.
