According to new reports, Chris B. could face battery charges over his altercation with Ocean in January.

It turns out that the case wasn’t actually closed, and Brown is currently under criminal investigation for the fight. The D.A.’s office has an active file on the case, even though Ocean never formally pressed charges against Brown. Instead, he urged “sanity” and “forgiveness,” even though Brown called him a gay slur and threatened to shoot him during their encounter. The D.A. may still be able to pursue the case, even with the lack of a cooperating witness, if there is compelling evidence. The fight may come up during Chris Brown’s probation review hearing Monday. As part of his probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna, Brown is required to obey all laws. He is expected to appear in court for the hearing. (Inquisitr)

Dwyane Wade dealt with an ongoing trial against two of his business partners in Miami.

Wade settled a case against in 2010 with two business partners seeking $25 million for a restaurant chain that never got started. The pair, Mark Rodberg and Lauren Hollander, wanted to create a chain of sports-themed restaurants bearing Wade’s name.

They also accused Wade of not following through on a deal to license his name to two charter schools.

The participating parties did not say what the final settlement was, but they posed for pictures and smiled as they exited the courtroom.

Wade gave a statement as he exited the courtroom saying it seemed to his benefit to close out the case rather than continue battling in court.

Wade stated that he wanted to hurry closing out the court case to focus on his children during the summer.

It’s easy to also see why Wade closed out his accounts, because of his possible move to another location during free agency.

A libel case filed by Richard von Houtman was not part of the settlement and a final decision in the case was still pending.

During the press conference, Hibbert bristled when reporters questioned why he finished 10th in this year’s Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … at around 3:45 AM, a woman at Shemar’s Encino house called the cops and claimed he had assaulted her. When they arrived, Shemar and the woman each accused the other of pushing and shoving. We’re told “drinking was involved.”

A source connected with Shemar tells TMZ … the woman was in Shemar’s backyard with a number of people when someone — not Shemar — pushed her in the pool. We’re told she got very upset and tried to come inside the house, soaking wet. She was asked to wait until someone could get her some towels.

We’re told Shemar came to the door with the towels, but she became even more irate and he asked her to leave. Apparently one of them started the pushing, and she called the cops.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … both Shemar and the woman each wanted the other arrested, but since there were no visible injuries, neither was taken into custody.

A new panel talk show with female hosts is entering the daytime space. A syndicated talker hosted by actress-singer Tamera Mowry, singer Tamar Braxton, singer-actress Adrienne Bailon, TV personality Jeannie Mai and comedian Loni Love will be getting a summer trial run on some of the Fox-owned stations.

Among the first 100 or so items Pamela Bryant intends to sell: the NBA star’s jerseys, practice gear and sweatsuits from Lower Merion High School; varsity letters; a trophy for being the outstanding player at the 1995 Adidas ABCD basketball camp; and a signed basketball from the 2000 NBA championship game.

And then there are rings, for the 1996 Pennsylvania high school championship, a pair that the Lakers made for Bryant’s parents for the 2000 NBA championship and one from the 1998 NBA All-Star game.

According to court filings, Pamela Bryant struck a deal in January with Goldin Auctions in Berlin, N.J., which earlier this year sold a rare Honus Wagner baseball card for a record $2.1 million.

She got $450,000 up front, which she intended to use for a new home in Nevada.

In its court filings, Goldin says Pamela Bryant told the auction house that she asked her son five years ago what he wanted to do with the items that were in her home.

“Kobe Bryant indicated to Pamela Bryant that the items belonged to her and that he had no interest in them,” the auction house’s attorneys wrote. So she put them in a $1,500-per-month New Jersey storage unit.

The challenge came Tuesday when Goldin sent a news release announcing the auction. By day’s end, Kobe Bryant’s lawyer had sent a cease-and-desist letter telling the auction house to call off the sale and return the items to him.

Kenneth Goldin, owner of the auction house, says he can’t cancel the auction because he’s already advanced $450,000 to Bryant’s mother and put money into advertising the auction.

Kobe Bryant’s lawyer Mark Campbell said in a statement, “Mr. Bryant’s personal property has ended up in the possession of someone who does not lawfully own it. We look forward to resolving this legal matter through the legal system.”

Bryant has had a sometimes icy relationship with his mother and father, Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, a former pro basketball player who is now coaching in Thailand.

According to the New York Times, the cash payments have been delivered to the president since the start of the war in Afghanistan.

While it was reported that the agency has shown Karzai financial support, new information reveals that the payments were bigger, and made more often, than previously known. “We called it ‘ghost money,’ ” said Khalil Roman, a former staff member of the president. Roman worked with Karzia from 2002-2005. “It came in secret, and it left in secret.”

The wads of cash –all kept off the books– were transported in suitcases, backpacks, and even plastic bags. But making the payments may not have given the CIA the influence over Karzai’s inner circle it desired. “The biggest source of corruption in Afghanistan was the United States,” noted one American official.“We paid them to overthrow the Taliban.”

The U.S. wasn’t alone in its payoff scheme. Iran has paid as much as $6 million a month to one of the Karzai’s top aids starting in 2003, but has since suspended the payments. Ironically, the U.S. previously slammed Iran for trying to buy the loyalty of the Afghan government, while keeping the CIA bribery plot under wraps.

Regardless of their attempts, Karzai’s allegiance wasn’t up for sale. Sources told the Times that the funds “fueled corruption and empowered warlords, undermining Washington’s exit strategy from Afghanistan.”

Karzai confirmed the payout earlier today, but claimed that it wasn’t allocated for personal use. “It was used for different purposes: operational, assistance to injured people, rental costs and other goals. This was efficient assistance and we appreciate it,” he said in a statement.

The scandalous “model” turned “artist” is likely at the center of a scheme designed to embarrass DJ Envy and break up his family.

Late Thursday night BOSSIP received an email from a woman claiming to be having an affair with DJ Envy despite his recently coming clean to his wife on the air after a dalliance with LHHNYC certified “angry bird” Erica Mena. The email alleged that Envy is still cheating on his wife with a woman named “Christy” and included three photos — two of an unidentified “package” and one face shot that has been posted by Mena just months ago.

The email sent to BOSSIP and several other outlets reads:

Being upfront about their STD “eliminates some of the awkwardness” of typical dating, he said.

Most people don’t know how to tell someone they’re dating they have an STD, Kasper explained. The Internet makes it easier.

STDMatch.com, which has more than 700,000 members worldwide, was created in 2006. Since then, several similar sites have sprouted.

Herpes is the most common among STDMatch members, Kasper said.

North Korea is to restart a mothballed nuclear reactor that has been closed since 2007 in a move that could produce more plutonium for nuclear weapons as well as for domestic electricity production, its KCNA news agency said on Tuesday.

The announcement came as the United States bolstered its forces in Korea and after a speech by leader Kim Jong-un was published in which he praised the country’s nuclear weapons as a “deterrent”.

It was unclear how quickly the plant, whose cooling tower was destroyed, would take to restart, although the move is a big blow to China’s stated aim of restarting de-nuclearization talks on the Korean peninsula. In Beijing, a foreign ministry spokesman expressed regret at the decision.

Earlier, KCNA released a speech by Kim given on Sunday that appeared to dial down the prospects of a direct confrontation with the United States as he stressed that nuclear weapons would ensure the country’s safety as a deterrent.

“Our nuclear strength is a reliable war deterrent and a guarantee to protect our sovereignty,” Kim said. “It is on the basis of a strong nuclear strength that peace and prosperity can exist and so can the happiness of people’s lives.”

As well as restarting the 5MW reactor at Yongbyon, the North’s only known source of plutonium for its nuclear weapons program, KCNA said a uranium enrichment plant would also be put back into operation, a move that could give it a second path to the bomb.

The nuclear plant’s output would be used to solve what KCNA termed an “acute shortage of electricity” and to bolster “the nuclear armed force”.

North Korea conducted its third nuclear test in February but is believed to be some years away from developing nuclear weapons, although it claims to have a deterrent.

After being hit with U.S. sanctions for conducting the test and what it has viewed as “hostile” military drills being staged by Seoul and Washington in the South, Pyongyang has threatened a nuclear strike on the United States, missile strikes on its Pacific bases and war with South Korea.

Washington, which has said it has not seen any evidence of hostile North Korean troop moves, deployed a warship off the Korean coast overnight.

The United States earlier bolstered forces staging joint drills with South Korea with Stealth fighters and has made bomber overflights in a rare show of strength.

Kim’s speech, delivered to the central committee meeting of the ruling Workers Party of Korea, appeared to show a change of tack, but it was some distance from signaling an end to the current crisis.

“The fact that this (speech) was made at the party central committee meeting, which is the highest policy-setting organ, indicates an attempt to highlight economic problems and shift the focus from security to the economy,” said Yang Moo-jin of the University of North Korean Studies in Seoul.

20-year old Frank Briggs was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and other related offenses according to NBC Philadelphia.

As we previously reported, the shooting took place last Thursday at a Holiday Inn where French was staying. The rapper and his entourage were getting off of their tour bus when a black four-door sedan pulled up and opened fire on a crowd of people that had followed the rapper to the hotel from his concert.

Jowann King, 26, from Flushing, N.Y. was shot in the stomach, He was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second 28-year old man was shot in the shoulder. He was treated at Jefferson University Hospital and released.

In the years since the recession, the median household income in the U.S. has dropped to just over $50,000, while fixed costs like health care, higher education, and housing have only soared. Now imagine trying to support a family of four on a fraction of that income.

It’s a reality that stay-at-home wife and mother of two Danielle Wagasky has lived for the last four years. And, perhaps a little surprisingly, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Wagasky, 28, lives with her her husband, Jason, 31, and their two young children in a three-bedroom family home in Las Vegas, Nevada. While Jason, a member of the U.S. Army, completes his undergraduate studies, the family’s only source of income is the $14,000 annual cost of living allowance he receives under the G.I. Bill. Despite all odds, the family has barely any credit card debt, no car payment, and no mortgage to speak of.

Wagasky has been sharing her journey to living meaningfully and frugally on her blog, Blissful and Domestic, since 2009.

She was kind enough to chat with BI and tell us how she makes it work.

Wagasky finds inspiration everywhere from the library to tips from readers on her blog.

“My husband told me he’d heard about this book, [America's Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money],” she said. “We talked about it over the phone and I read it and thought how it could apply to us.”

The couple had a single savings goal in mind –– scraping together $30,000 for a downpayment on their home in their native Henderson, Nevada.

The mindless spending was out, and Wagasky came up with a budget she could make work. “I changed the way I was grocery shopping and started working my way up, ” she said.

She stopped eating out and learned how to cook.

Wagasky barely knew her way around a kitchen when she started her money makeover.

Now she’s an avid cookbook collector (she checks them out from libraries or asks for them as gifts to save), and it’s one of the simplest ways she’s managed to cutback on spending.

With a $7 bread-maker she scored at a local thrift shop, she never spends on store bought slices. She’s not shy about professing her love for wholesale stores like Costco, which is her go-to source for baking ingredients.

Everything in the home is either hand-sewn and or made from scratch.

“Everything must be budgeted,” Wagasky wrote in a June entry on her blog. “From family outings, to toiletries to clothes purchases. It must be budgeted.”

And she takes Do-It-Yourself to the extreme. Everything from laundry soap and clothing to the kitchen her husband installed in their new home was either crafted by hand or thrifted.

She swears by this home-made laundry detergent recipe.

The family swapped cable for Netflix and Hulu.

When it come to cutting costs, cable was as easy luxury to part ways with.

With two children aged 6 and 8 to entertain, Wagasky invests $14.99 in a Netflix plan and recently added Hulu to the mix.

The family also uses a simple antennae to pick up basic cable channels.

She goes to the grocery store once per month, pays cash, and never goes over budget.

With a single source of fixed income, there’s no room for impulse purchases in the Wagasky household.

They budget $400 for groceries each month and that’s it.

“Once that $400 is gone, it is gone,” she writes. “There are no extra shopping trips made because there is no more money.”

They are a cash-only household but keep a credit card for emergencies.

Wagasky said they have no credit debt, but they do charge emergency expenses on plastic when absolutely necessary.

“We recently had some medical bills we had to pay, and we were able to take our savings and pay those down as fast as we could,” she said.

They fill up their tanks once per month and combine errands as much as possible.

With gas prices creeping higher each all the time, the Wagaskys watch their mileage like hawks.

That means combining errands together and doing all they can to make one tank of gas last a month.

“We know we don’t get to drive and visit family often, so when we do we cherish it,” she wrote in a blog entry.

“We don’t go just for an hour, we stay and visit and even run errands that may be close to where we have family. We try to remember that when the gas is gone…it is gone.”

They paid for both of their cars in cash and have no car payments.

After Wagasky’s husband left active duty and started school, the couple knew they would only have $14,000 per year to live on.

So they paid off the $8,000 he owed on his truck while he was earning more and they could afford the expense.

They also bought a van, which they saved $10,000 for initially and were able to pay the remaining $12,000 owed within a year.

Having zero car payments is a nice relief.

She skips all kiddie snacks in favor of healthier, cheaper DIY options.

Like anyone with simple math skills, Wagasky was quick to realize how much cash she was wasting on prepackaged snacks for her children.

She cut them out completely and whips up homemade granola bars and trail mix instead.

If she can freeze food, she will.

If you’re on a tight food budget, your freezer will become your best friend.

Wagasky chops vegetables and fruits and freezes them for a month. She actually does the same for dairy products like cheese, butter and yogurt.

“I am able to freeze about 8 gallons of milk each month,” she writes. “They sit at the bottom of my freezer and we thaw them out when we need them.” Baked goods get the same chilly treatment.

She uses a food co-op to save on fresh produce.

Wagasky was dubious about joining a food co-op, but after three months, she realized she would never beat the savings or quality she found.

Food co-ops pool membership fees together in order to fund a monthly harvest that’s distributed at designated pick-up points.

A couple of times per month, Wagasky gets a basketful of in-season produce for $15 –– way better bargain than she’d ever find in stores.

They took advantage of Nevada’s declining housing market to score a cheap foreclosure.

By the time Wagasky’s husband came home from Iraq, they had managed to scrape together the $30,000 they needed for a downpayment on a home.

“But we decided the best option would be not to have a mortgage payment at all,” she said. “We found a fixer-upper that didn’t have a kitchen … and we paid cash.”

Price tag: $28,000. With the leftover cash, they were able to finish the kitchen and install wood flooring throughout the house.

“Detroit’s problems are hardly news. It has been in a four-decade decline paralleling the slide in the U.S. auto industry,” according to Forbes.com, which compiles the yearly ranking.

Earlier this week, a panel of experts said the automotive city was facing a fiscal emergency and potential bankruptcy, as well as a possible financial takeover by the state.

Flint, which is being run by an emergency manager appointed by the state governor more than a year ago, faces similar problems and has some of the worst crime rates in the country and a jobless rate of 11.3 percent, according to Forbes.com.

To compile the list, Forbes looked at 200 of the country’s largest urban areas and ranked them on factors including crime rates, foreclosures, taxes, home prices, commute times, weather and decreasing populations.

Violent crime, high foreclosure rates and declining home prices pushed Chicago into the fourth spot, along with the high expense of living there.

New York, which came in at No. 10, was also cited for its high cost of living. The Big Apple has one of the country’s highest income tax rates and longest average commuting time at 36 minutes.

ostco is tarnishing the Tiffany name, the luxury jewelry chain complained in a new lawsuit Thursday.

The Fifth Avenue bauble palace claims the warehouse club chain is selling counterfeit diamond engagement rings under the Tiffany brand.

“We now know that there are at least hundreds if not thousands of Costco members who think they bought a Tiffany engagement ring at Costco, which they didn’t,” said Tiffany lawyer Jeffrey Mitchell.

He said in November a customer notified the jeweler that a Costco store in Huntington Beach, Calif., was promoting “Tiffany” diamond engagement rings on in-store signs.

The Manhattan Federal Court lawsuit accuses Costco of trademark infringement.

Costco spokesman Jeffrey Elliott declined comment.

A study has revealed that women who have children outside of marriage are less likely than other single women to marry, and when they do marry… their husbands tend to be less well-matched.

Zhenchao Qian, co-author of the study and associate professor of sociology at Ohio State University, states that unwed mothers ie baby mamas have a hard time locking down a mate and IF they do finally get married… most tend not to marry quality partners.

The results show that the odds that unwed mothers marry rather than cohabit are about 30 percent lower than those of childless single women.

When they do marry, mothers are more likely to have husbands who are significantly older and less educated than those of childless women.

But wait… there’s more!

The results of the study suggest that efforts by the federal government to promote marriage amongst young, poor Americans should probably focus more on preventing out-of-wedlock childbearing.

Everybody is somebody’s baby mama these days. The “baby mama” title is like a badge of honor amongst those who snag themselves a “baller” and quickly drop one (or 2 or 3) for their new meal ticket.

Having a “meal ticket” trumps having a lifetime companion to many women, who in the long run, end up bitter and alone.

“Unwed mothers have significant disadvantages when trying to attract suitable mates,” Mellott said.

“As a result, single mothers are less likely than childless women to be well matched demographically with their husbands or partners.”

Qian conducted the study with Leanna Mellott, a graduate student in sociology at Ohio State, and Daniel Lichter, a professor at Cornell University .

Their results appear in the current issue of the journal Social Forces.

For example, the study showed that single mothers were less likely than childless women to marry a man with at least some college education.

That suggests unwed mothers are unlikely to improve their economic prospects through marriage, she said, because potential husbands are less likely to have opportunities for good-paying jobs.

In addition, a white woman who had children outside of marriage was more likely to marry a man who was significantly older – at least six years older – than she. That wasn’t the case for Black and Hispanic women, but only because they were less likely than whites to be married at all, Qian said.

OUCH!

“Our analysis suggests that Blacks and Hispanics may be less likely to marry or cohabit because they face shortages of potential spouses,” he said.

“If they had been married or living with someone, they would likely have husbands or partners much older than themselves.”

Overall, the results of the sociological study show that “women who bear children out of wedlock do not fare well in the marriage market,” Lichter said.

Kris Humphries has just filed legal documents in his ongoing divorce battle with Kim Kardashian, telling the judge that the case can’t go to trial yet because key witnesses in the case haven’t been deposed and he hasn’t received documents he needs.

According to the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Team Humphries has asked for records from Ryan Seacrest Productions, E! Entertainment Productions, and Bunim-Murray Productions but none have been turned over. Specifically, they want raw footage of episodes of the Kardashian reality shows.

The NBA star is planning assert that he was duped into marrying Kardashian, and she was pressured to carry out the marriage because of lucrative financial commitments associated with the broadcast special of the wedding. Humprhies wants to depose various television executives, but has been unsuccessful in those attempts.

“Indeed, if as Ms. Wasser asserts there really is “no evidentiary support” to support Humphries claims, why don’t they just give us the access we want? What are they hiding? What is there in the raw footage of this televised courtship, 72 day marriage and resultant breakup that they are so afraid of us discovering?” the court docs state.

Kim’s lawyer Laura Wasser wants to set trial for the divorce in March, but Humphries would be unable to attend the proceedings because of his NBA basketball schedule. “Humphries is entitled to be present at Kardashian’s deposition, and due to Humphries work schedule he is unavailable until mid-May or June,” the docs state.

Just last week, RHOA Kandi Burruss announced that she was officially engaged to her producer-boo Todd Tucker.

A few hours ago, Kandi took to her Bravo RHOA blog to talk about her excitement in planning her dream wedding and who she will, or will not, be inviting.

Says Kandi:

Since I’m newly engaged, I’m going to touch on a couple of things in the last couple of episodes that would be related to marriage and family. First I’ll go back to my conversation with Porsha about pre-nups. I do believe in pre-nups. I know that some people feel if you are truly in love and are planning to be dedicated to your marriage that a pre-nup somehow means the person requesting the pre-nup is expecting the marriage to fail. I don’t agree. I feel like it’s a safety precaution. Just like if you have a fire extinguisher in your home it doesn’t mean you expect it to burn down, but you’re just prepared to put out the fire before it starts if need be. I’ve had friends and associates who didn’t get a pre-nup say “they didn’t need one,” “she or he would never do that,” etc. But then later when they got divorced, things got ugly, and the person tried to get everything, they were like, “I would have never thought they would have done that to me,” “she or he is not the person I married,” blah, blah, blah. I feel like people do some crazy and vindictive things when they’re hurt, so I think there should be agreements set in place while everyone is thinking clearly. That way if D-day ever comes (and hopefully it won’t, but if it does), then it doesn’t have to get uglier and more hurtful than it already is.

I hope Porsha and Kordell’s marriage lasts for a lifetime, but I will say that I was shocked when she told me that they didn’t do a pre-nup. I don’t know why I was shocked, but I was. Well, some people like things the good ol’ fashion way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. To each his own!

Reports out of the Philippines yesterday caused quite a stir, as a pair of doctors who had not examined Manny Pacquiao said they had seen early signs of Parkinson’s, with one doctor saying he thought he’d seen early signs of Parkinson’s disease in the fight, and another saying she was not convinced of good health by a post-fight CT scan he underwent following his KO loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in December.

“There is nothing to be worry about. I am 100 percent healthy and right now I’m enjoying this memorable vacation with my family in this beautiful country of Israel. I will return to the Philippines on January 14 and in early February because I want to get to the gym because I want to have a fight in April and in September I want the fifth fight with Marquez.

“The statements by the doctors show a total lack of ethics and it was irresponsible. This was just personal opinion and there were no medical tests.”

Pacquiao, 34, passed his CT scan after his scary, face-first knockout, and the doctor who made a “diagnosis” (it wasn’t a diagnosis, and wasn’t intended to be) did make clear he was just expressing his personal view. But when someone is as famous as Pacquiao, this can spiral quickly. I can say on our end, we talked about it because it was worth getting out there and saying something about the original article, and also because it’s one of those things that opens the discussion: Does Manny Pacquiao have any great need to fight on?

If he’s healthy, as he assures us all that he is, then he will. Even if he wasn’t, he probably would. It happens all the time. You can dismiss this all if you want to, and I think that’s a fair enough judgment call for anyone, but it’s a discussion, and it’s a concern for any fighter. With Manny’s name attached, it becomes something people actually talk about.

And aside from that, it looks like Pacquiao is hoping to get back in the ring soon. His original next fight date was April 20, which still is not booked by HBO or Showtime. It’s kind of a tough ask to hope boxing fans will buy a $70 PPV on April 20 and another one on May 4, though, so that might not really work out for the best. Something in mid-to-late June would seem wise, given that Pacquiao isn’t going to be ready by March, and there’s not enough time to promote a Pacquiao-level fight for March now anyway.

You’ll recall, the mistress — a woman named Thurayyah Mitchell — filed court docs back in October, trying to force Marbury to make good on the $300,000 he allegedly owed her as part of their confidentiality agreement.

Mitchell claimed Marbury — who’s married with kids — agreed to pay her $900,000 in exchange for her silence regarding the 2006 affair, but stopped making payments in 2010 … after only coughing up $600,000.

The arbitrator ruled in Mitchell’s favor, ordering Marbury to pay her an additional $330,000 — but now, he’s refusing to pay that sum.

Marbury has just filed legal docs of his own, insisting Mitchell gave up her right to that money by publicly filing court docs that detailed her affair with the basketball player.

According to Marbury, the documents violated the confidentiality agreement because they were filed publicly rather than under seal.

A judge has yet to decide whether Mitchell gets her money or not.

Police Capt. David Lindaman says that Belcher and his girlfriend — who had just given birth to the couple’s child three months earlier — began arguing around 7:00 AM local time.

Lindaman says Belcher shot the woman multiple times and she was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police says the girlfriend’s mother witnessed the shooting.

Police say Belcher left the scene and drove to the stadium where he was confronted by team personnel, including GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel. According to police, they tried to keep Belcher from committing additional acts of violence.

Just as police arrived on the scene, they heard a gunshot and discovered Belcher had shot himself in the head. Cops say before firing the shot, Belcher thanked Pioli and Crennel for all they had done for him.

The coaches told police they never felt as if they were in danger.

Belcher had been with the Chiefs for four seasons after being undrafted out of the University of Maine.

The Chiefs are scheduled to host the Carolina Panthers tomorrow. So far, the NFL has said that game will be played as scheduled.

According to reports, Storch’s attorney said despite the check he still owes just over $8,000.

Scott Storch can walk the streets in Florida without fear of being picked up by the police — because a judge lifted the arrest order against him this week after he paid off a huge chunk of his child support debt. As TMZ first reported, Storch was behind on payments to the tune of $28,300 and when he failed to show up for a court date on the matter, a judge ordered the music producer to be arrested. But Storch’s lawyer tells TMZ Storch cut baby mama Vanessa Bellido a check for $20,000 and the judge lifted the order. Storch has six months to pay off the remaining $8,300. (TMZ)

Around mid-October, Storch’s lawyer promised he would handle the legal issue.

As THE ENQUIRER reported in June June, Kris’ family was so worried that her plastic surgery fixation had spun dangerously out of control that they begged her to stop. And a leading expert is amazed at the extent of her work.

California cosmetic surgeon Dr. Thomas Barnes studied Kris’ wedding photos from 34 years ago alongside recent pictures and was shocked by the change in her appearance.

“Kris is almost unrecognizable com­pared to photos of her at her wedding to Robert Kardashian,” Dr. Barnes told The ENQUIRER. “Multiple proce­dures over the years – totaling at least $250,000 – had to be done for her to achieve the look she has today.

“Most likely, she first went under the knife for a face- and neck-lift some­time around 2000,” said the expert, who has not treated the reality star.

Dr. Barnes believes Kris would have had to repeatedly “freshen up” her face at enormous expense since then to achieve her current look.

“I’d call it ‘Keeping Up with Beauty,’” he quipped.

A cheek augmentation and mid-face-lift could run between $5,000 to $10,000 each, cheek implants $4,000 to $6,000 each and brow-lifts $5,000 to $10,000. Meantime, a complete face- and neck-lift can cost up to $35,000.

According to Brian Utley, who’s responsible for FIA certification, roughly one minute into his jump Baumgartner reached a top speed of 833.9 mph, a new record for a skydiver. That also means he successfully broke the sound barrier, reaching Mach 1.24.

He also broke the record for the highest manned balloon flight, unofficially reaching a height just shy of 25 miles. He did so in a balloon that’s also the largest ever manned.

Baumgartner’s long-anticipated leap from the edge of space was the Austrian daredevil’s attempt at breaking all those records, most notably the highest successful jump and becoming the only skydiver to break the sound barrier.

Baumgartner is the first skydiver to ever break through the sound barrier, and remarkably, it comes 65 years to the day after Chuck Yeager, flying in his X-1A, first broke through the harrowing milestone.

As Baumgartner opened the hatch of his capsule and stepped out onto the platform, he said before jumping, “I wish the whole world could see what I see.”

After landing, he said the only thing he was thinking about once on the platform was getting back to earth alive. “At that height you become so humble, you don’t think about breaking records anymore. You just want to come back.”

Chicago police are investigating possible connections between the Tuesday slaying of a teen rapper, a raging Englewood gang conflict and a mocking Tweet on the account of the victim’s rap rival — rising South Side star Chief Keef, sources told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Joseph Coleman, known as “Lil JoJo” in the rap world, was gunned down near 69th and Princeton, about a block from where Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson grew up and where her family was slain in 2008.

Witnesses said Coleman, 18, was riding double on a bike — standing on the back — when a car pulled up and someone fired six or seven shots at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Coleman was hit in the back before running to a nearby home, where he later died outside as witnesses screamed “JoJo!” witnesses said.

A witness said the shots came from an tan, older model, four-door Ford Taurus that was riding low in the back.

After Coleman collapsed, people came to his aid. There was little blood, but Coleman’s eyes were dilated, cold and fixed. “It was the like the look of death,” another witness said.

When asked if he could hear them, Coleman attempted to nod. Paramedics arrived about 10 minutes later, witnesses said, and Coleman was still breathing and gurgling. But he later died.

Hours after the murder, on Chief Keef’s Twitter account, a message was posted saying:

Tami filed the lawsuit back in 2005 claiming that Kenny was slacking on his $8,500/month child support payments for their two daughters making it a total of $800,000 in missed payments.

Details on the latest Henchman-related news surfaced online Friday (June 22).

They called him Jimmy Henchman — the man with the Teflon reputation, tied for years to the feud that led to the murders of two legends of the hip-hop world. But on Friday, officials in Manhattan said the man, James Rosemond, was being charged with arranging the murder of an associate of the rapper 50 Cent. In an indictment announced on Friday, Mr. Rosemond, 47, was charged with conspiring with five other men to kill the associate, Lowell Fletcher, in 2009. “This has not been a good month for Jimmy the Henchman,” Raymond W. Kelly, the New York police commissioner, said in a statement. He said the murder of Mr. Fletcher had been retaliation for an assault on Mr. Rosemond’s son.

Earlier this month, Henchman got hit with a slew of drug-related charges.

The trial of music industry mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond came to a close today in a Brooklyn federal court. A jury found Rosemond guilty of all 13 charges levied against him, for allegedly heading up the “Rosemond Organization.” Federal prosecutors claim the organization shipped hundreds of kilograms on a weekly basis from the West Coast, using various overnight courier services. Rosemond was emotionless when the jurors reached their verdict, while his family friends and supporters showed obvious signs of disappointment.

19-year-old rapper Lil Phat (Melvin Vernell III) was found shot and fatally wounded at 6:40 pm on June 7th in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road in Atlanta, GA. Lil Phat was found in a car parked in a parking structure next to Northside Hospital Women’s Center. He was taken to nearby Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses told investigators that they saw at least one suspect running from the scene of the crime. The parking deck has video surveillance cameras that the police are currently reviewing.

Lil Phat was signed to Trill ENT, which included artists Lil Boosie, Webbie, Foxx, Lil Trill, KaDe, Mouse & Shell.
