In an effort to attract younger viewers, Fox is set to make major changes to the show, including an entirely new judging panel. All four current judges have options to return for another season, but Fox won’t be picking them up, according to the insider, who said, “No more big checks for divas.”

Fox’s major restructuring was spurred by the show’s plummeting viewership. Its ratings are already down 22 percent this season and it hit a series low for ratings last Thursday, attracting only 11 million viewers. This is a major problem during May Sweeps, where ratings numbers are used to calculate advertising rates.

The network has also resolved to stop paying the over-the-top salaries it’s been handing out to its judges, i.e. Carey’s reported $18 million package, Minaj’s $12 million deal, and former judge Lopez’s $15 million salary.

According to a source close to “American Idol,” Carey is so done with her fellow judge’s threats and nastiness she last week threatened not to come to the show this week, despite the show being down to its top three finalists.

“Mariah doesn’t want to come back, Nicki is really disrespecting her and she’s tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time,” an insider told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “One night Nicki tried to be kind of nice, but Mariah didn’t bite, so I guess she figured screw that.”

The Carey versus Minaj war of words has now even spread from the set to cyberspace. Following a heated argument on “Idol” last week, the young rapper took to twitter with a barrage of insulting tweets, referencing recent reports that former judge Jennifer Lopez was approached to replace Carey on the current season, and calling her “insecure” and “bitter.”

But we’re told even if Minaj doesn’t return to the panel next season, Carey won’t be back.

“She’s done with it all. She doesn’t need the platform, and all the drama isn’t healthy for her,” added the source. “She’s also under fire with the producers for not being critical enough of the contestants.”

And while we’re assured that the judge throwdown is definitely not a marketing move, it is certainly a hot topic of discussion on Twitter.

“Minaj is so irritating, you do not argue with Mariah Carey,” tweeted one, as others weighed in “they should just fight onstage,” and another concluded that Minaj’s attacks were “disgusting and pathetic.”

Wednesday night’s episode of the one-time popular reality TV favorite pulled in just 11 million viewers – that’s the lowest figures for an Idol show EVER.

And judging by the Facebook page, ‘Ok: Remove Nicki Minaj From American Idol’ it’s clear to see who is turning viewers off.

“I can’t watch my favorite show anymore…her arrogance, ignorance, stupid comments that have NOTHING to do with constructive criticism, and the lack of respect the brat displays every week. What a bad choice to replace Jennifer (Lopez),” Robert Deans writes.

“Nicki’s voice box needs to be removed,” says Nick Sharp.

While Steven Pappas takes his criticism further, admitting: “Sorry, but I just really, REALLY wanna punch her square in the face! I think that would probably make me feel best!”

Incidentally, that last post was liked by 14 followers of the Facebook page.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Nicki was late for Idol’s first live show last week. It was a routine she made a habit of.

“Nicki has ALWAYS been late. Even back during the audition phases she showed up anywhere from an hour or two past call time, pushing all of the auditions back and angering the other judges,” a show insider told Radar.

Hollywood week was already miserable enough because contestants had to wait in the auditorium and watch everyone audition one by one, with only an hour lunch break — but Nicki didn’t help matters.

“After the lunch break one day everyone was waiting to audition and the judges all showed up together two and a half hours late and it was because of Nicki. All of the families had to wait outside the holding room, so they didn’t know what was going on that whole time until Nicki and her entourage finally showed up. She never showed up before 11 a.m.”

“It is hard to get the album because the stores basically said that the last few re-releases they had put out did not do well and they didn’t want to take a chance,” she said in a recent appearance The Breakfast Club. “So, Target and Walmart is not selling the album. Target is actually my biggest retailer — they’ve always been my biggest retailer. They’ve sold the most Nicki Minaj albums ever, so, thank you, Target. But I wish you could’ve sold this one.”

As for Best Buy, the retailer “only took limited [quantities] because they’re like ‘Oh we don’t know, we want to play it safe,’ so it’s very difficult and it kind of sets you up to fail,” she said, adding that some of her fans “have been driving hours, literally hours, to get one CD. But it is what it is, and I appreciate the support, and I’m excited about the music.”

Walmart spokesperson Veronica Marshall told Spin.com that they would would have carried the album had Nicki offered an edited version, which she did not.

“We do not carry any music that has a parental advisory label on it,” said Marshall. “However, we carry edited versions of those music titles. That album did not come with an edited option, so that’s why Walmart isn’t carrying that album.”

The Re-Up is a re-release of Nicki’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album. It came with eight new songs.

A thieving husband-and-wife couple were arrested by undercover detectives in Winter Haven, Florida, over a Nicki Minaj and Drake concert scam.

The fake concert with Drake and Nicki Minaj was supposed to take place on October 24, through a company called Big Apple Music Inc.

The company is allegedly owned by Phillip Bradley, 46 and his wife, Evelyn Bradley, 36.

The crooked husband-and-wife were supposed to have the phony concert at Simmers-Young Park.

But little did the Bradley’s know that they were meeting with undercover detectives, who posed as employees of the park, to gather information on the couple, as they discussed the concert.

Yesterday (November 19), Polk County Sheriff detectives arrested the Bradleys for taking $36,000 from residents who were hoping to see the concert.

The couple was charged with scheming to defraud and grand theft.

At one point Nicki was managed by Waka Flocka’s mom, Deb Antney. Gucci feels like the camp played a big part in her becoming a success. He doesn’t think Nicki appreciates what was done for her.

“It’s like when she came to Atlanta she gave me a shout out and said I helped her in her career,” Gucci said of Nicki. “But at the end of the day I just think you keep it real with somebody you can’t expect them to keep it real with you. I told you man in this industry people wanna be famous and forget the people that helped them get to where they at. I tip my hat to Nicki for being a hard worker, but at the same time she know she ain’t keep it real.”

Another artist Gucci took issue with was French Montana. French at one point was riding with Brick Squad heavy. He and Waka Flocka recorded the mixtape Lock Out together as well as the songs “Move Tha Cane” and “Choppa Choppa Down.” Those collaborations seemed to stop when French aligned himself with Rick Ross and Diddy.

“French Montana know he didn’t keep it real,” Gucci said. “My thing is I ain’t going out of my way to tell somebody to act real or they fake or they lame because that ain’t got nothing to do with me. But when they start spilling into my business or my affairs I’m a vocal person, I usually speak on it.”

Gucci saved his harshest criticism for Yo Gotti. He recently sent a shot Gotti’s way on Twitter and explains why.

“I said Gotti was cool until he turned into a busta. So I wasn’t saying that we wasn’t even cool. I said we was cool until this point right here,” Gucci explained, referring to a diss song he recently recorded. “My main problem with him is that he dropped his mixtape on 10/17 and tried to ride my wave like he was an artist of mine or we get some kind of money together. So I just felt like for an artist to drop their mixtape on 10/17, which is my label. All my label mates dropped their mixtape on 10/17. Why would you drop it on 10/17 and when I call you as my partna you say, ‘oh I didn’t know you were dropping a mixtape.’ Now the whole world know I’m dropping this [Trap God] mixtape. I’ve been promoting this mixtape. Both me and you on the top of Worldstar. You with a freestyle and me with a video, but you say you unaware I got a mixtape and I got a banner that says it’s coming out 10/17. So it just made me lose all respect for him instantly.”

The Yo Gotti tape Gucci was referring to is the CM7: The World Is Yours tape. Gotti was going to drop it on October 17th, but after Gucci’s Tweet he ended up releasing it on October 18th. By that point the damage had been done and at this point he and Gucci are no longer cool.

Drum roll please… Joining new judge Mariah Carey in the search for the next singing star are none other than rapper Nicki Minaj and country star Keith Urban. After speculation that he might move into a mentor role, Randy Jackson also will be back as a judge. Carey, Minaj and Urban replace Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, who departed at the end of last season. Host Ryan Seacrest remains, while Interscope records chairman Jimmy Iovine also is expected to continue to provide his always colorful commentary.

According to sources, Carey’s contract with the show, factoring in allowances for wardrobe, hair and makeup, is worth close to $18 million. Minaj will pocket a cool $12 million for her part with Urban coming in at half the price. Seacrest earns $15 million a year and is committed to the show for two more seasons. The new judges are locked in for one year. Worth noting: Jackson also co-manages Carey.

American Idol’s plans to add Nicki Minaj to their judging panel may have hit a major snag because TMZ is reporting that Mariah Carey is not happy about the decision and may walk.

According to the report, Mariah was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judge’s panel. When Mariah was told that Nicki would be joining she hung up the phone.

The whole thing is still up in the air because behind the scenes the powers that be can’t decide whether to have a panel consisting of two women and one man or two women and two men.

Randy Jackson’s position on the new season has yet to be decided. Idol officials are still bedating if he should be brought back in his familiar spot as a judge or take on a new mentor’s role.

And finally there is the issue of the panel’s race. Officials are worried that middle America may not tune if there is an all black panel of Minaj, Carey and Jackson.

Multiple sources tell US Weekly that Minaj has gotten the green light from “Idol” producers.

The hip hop star is “100% confirmed to judge American Idol,” a source told the tabloid.

Reps for FOX had no comment when contacted by FOX411.com.

Minaj, 29, raised eyebrows earlier this year with a Grammy performance that leaned heavily on Catholic imagery. She even walked the red carpet with a guy dressed like the pope.

“Stay offended. Not a single F**K is given,” she said via Twitter in the aftermath of her widely-panned song-and-dance routine.

Nicki Minaj deactivated her Twitter account leaving millions of her fans and followers awaiting her comeback– but that may not happen. After getting into a Twitter tiff with some of her followers, Nicki pulled the plug on her account. “Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f–king bye,” she wrote. before vanishing from the social networking site.

Minutes before, Nicki had vowed to get rid of the account after she blocked a fan site that she accused of posting leaked music. DJLaz1.com (part of the Complex Network) managed to capture some screen grabs.

The offending site, NickiDaily.com is also down, stripped of all of it’s content with only the word “closed” posted. Instead of their Barbie-related content, the site just plays the somber sounding “Dear Old Nicki” in a loop. The track which appeared on Minaj’s 2010 debut is rather appropriate. On it she raps to her former self: “And tell me that you coming back that you just took a break/Maybe I blamed you for everything, that was my mistake.”

Nicki Minaj, fresh off looking like a fool with Madonna at the Super Bowl, showed up last night on the red carpet at the Grammys with a guy dressed like the pope. This was just a prelude of what was to come.

Minaj’s performance began on stage with a mock confessional skit. This was followed by a taped video depicting a mock exorcism. With stained glass in the background, she appeared on stage again with choir boys and monks dancing.

Perhaps the most vulgar part was the sexual statement that showed a scantily clad female dancer stretching backwards while an altar boy knelt between her legs in prayer. Finally, “Come All Ye Faithful” was sung while a man posing as a bishop walked on stage; Minaj was shown levitating.

None of this was by accident, and all of it was approved by The Recording Academy, which puts on the Grammys. Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of The Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam.

It’s bad enough that Catholics have to fight for their rights vis-à-vis a hostile administration in Washington without also having to fend off attacks in the entertainment industry. The net effect, however, will only embolden Catholics, as well as their friends in other faith communities.

In a recent interview with Wonderland, Nicki Minaj revealed a few items that she requests for her dressing room including:

- 2 dozen pink or white roses
- 3 large Baked Goods scented candles
- Hot Tea setup with lemon wedges, sugar and honey. Must include teacups, saucers, spoons and napkins and decaffeinated Lipton Tea bags
- 2 packs Halls lemon honey drops
- 3 packs of Thayers Slippery Elm lozenges (three different flavors)
- Contact lenses solution with case
- 2 Space Heaters – VERY IMPORTANT – and a cool mist humidifier
- 3 packs of gum in 3 different flavors
- 24 bottles of Dasani Water (12 room temperature,12 on ice)
- 12 cans of Red Bull (6 room temp, 6 iced)
- 12 bottles of Martinelli’s Apple Juice (6 room temp, 6 iced)
- 24 bottles of Snapple, 12 must be Lemon Ice Tea, 12 other assorted flavours
- Singer’s Saving Grace throat spray
- 2 large bottles of assorted fruit juices and one gallon of Simply Lemonade – please supply one small tub of clean ice and cups for drinks
- Egg Whites (scrambled hard), Turkey Bacon (fried hard), white toast (grape and strawberry jelly/jam). Belgian Waffles (syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, butter and strawberries on side) Enough to serve 4 people
- 1 Large Fruit platter with side of mango and 1 Large Cheese platter
- 3 12-piece buckets of fried chicken spicy – no thighs, lots of wings
- A deli tray with turkey breast meat, grilled chicken breast, whole Wheat bread or rolls, yellow mustard and other condiments (seasoned salt, hot sauce), plates, forks, spooks, knives, napkins and straws (enough for six people)
- Salad – Iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, green olives, Wishbone Light Italian dressing, Bumble Bee tuna in water, wheat or low fat crackers
- Carrots and Dip
- Cranberries (dried)
- Almonds (raw, not roasted)
- One set of fine silverware/stainless steel silverware

We spoke with a rep for BET who wouldn’t specify exactly why the network has banned the video — simply saying BET will not be broadcasting it.

But sources at the company tell us, the ban was put in place because the video’s just too explicit for TV.

The song lyrics alone are bad enough — repeating the phrase “stupid h*e” dozens of times — but the video itself is damn raunchy too, showing several nearly naked female figures. Normally this is where we’d post the video … but in this case, just Google it.

It’s pretty great — especially if you like Nicki’s butt in a thong.

According to her manager Cortez Bryant’s recent interview with The New York Times, the singer’s designer dreams are already nearing fruition.

Minaj hopes to “negotiate a deal with a fashion house, so [she] can sell her own line of clothes,” said Bryant, calling it a major priority for the performer. In a stragetic shift within the singer’s managerial setup: last year, Bryant was brought on board, along with other key industry players, to help position Minaj prominently within the style sphere. A spate of front-row Fashion Week appearances, key fashion covers, and her H&M and Versace performance and televised Victoria’s Secret gig suggests 2011′s publicity blitz worked its magic. In 2012, she raises the stakes and will be taking over for Lady Gaga as MAC’s Viva Glam Ambassador.
