The rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, pleaded guilty this morning to a speeding charge. He was ordered to pay $531 in fines and put on probation for 18 months. Cozart was also ordered to perform 60 hours of community service.
“I think you think you’re invincible, and you’re certainly not,” Cook County Circuit Court Judge Earl Hoffenberg chastised Keef. “Violate [conditions of the plea agreement] and you’ll find out you’re not. I sure hope I don’t see you again, because if I do you better be ready to go to jail.”

“I’m really not sympathetic to people who don’t listen to me,” the judge added.

As the 17-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, drove away form the courthouse, he was stopped and arrested by Chicago police on an unspecified charge. Cozart was taken to Grand Crossing District station, on Chicago’s South Side, where he is still being processed, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Cozart was arrested on May 20 at the Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter hotel in Dunwoody, GA., a suburb north of Atlanta, after hotel staff alerted police to the pungent aroma of chronic coming from Cozart’s hotel room.

Also in May, Cozart was ordered to pay his 15-year-old baby mama child support.

The connection: Samsung has purchased 1 million copies of Jay-Z’s coming album, entitled “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” slated for release July 4, and plans to give them to Samsung Galaxy smartphone users for free – 72 hours ahead of the release. The users are to receive the music through an app they’ll receive later this month. (Recipients won’t be able to share it until the official release date.) The newborn girl of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has received a steady stream of hospital visitors and online well-wishers in the two days since her birth.

The 5-pound cutie was born Saturday, about four weeks ahead of her July 11 due date.

Kardashian’s reality-TV pals, Jonathan Cheban and Brittny Gastineau, were spotted at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to see mother and child.

Meanwhile Khloé broke the family’s social media silence with these tweets saying both Kim and her new daughter were healthy and resting:

E! News has learned the baby girl is definitely a Kardashian Mini Me.

“She has dark hair,” our source says. “She looks just like Kim.”

The little bundle of joy arrived at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, the same place where Kim’s sis Kourtney Kardashian delivered her kids, Penelope and Mason.

There’s no official word yet on the baby’s name, but sources tell E! News Kim told friends and family in the weeks leading up to the birth that the name “will start with a K.”

Dad Kanye was there by Kim’s side when their girl was welcomed into the world. Kim delievered the baby girl naturally and both mother and baby are happy and healthy, E! News confirms.

Tawanna Iverson just filed legal docs, claiming Allen recently asked for permission to take their five kids on a short vacation to Charlotte, NC from May 22nd-May 26th (and Tawanna agreed) but when May 26th rolled around, the children hadn’t been returned.

The kids range in age from 3 to 16 years old.

In the docs, Tawanna says she tried to set up an exchange on June 4th at a neutral location — a nearby Target store — but A.I. never showed up.

Tawanna — who has sole legal and primary physical custody of their children — now believes Allen never took their kids to Charlotte at all … and is currently keeping them at a Sheraton hotel in Georgia.

Tawanna claims she’s especially concerned because Allen’s an alcoholic who drinks around their kids.

She now wants the court to force him to return the kids … and punish him as well, even suggesting the judge throw his ass in jail.

It’s not the first time she’s tried to get Iverson locked up … she had previously begged the court to send him to the pokey for allegedly not paying more than $40,000 in child support.

Attempts to reach Allen were unsuccessful.

The worst fears of Chicago Public School teachers and staffers were confirmed Friday when district officials announced it was laying off some 850 employees.

“Given the historic financial crisis facing our District, next year’s budget will not come without painful decisions, which is why we are making tough choices at central office in order to minimize impacts to our classrooms,” said CPS CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett in a statement Friday. “We will continue this work over the next several weeks to further identify reductions to central office spending to help close the District’s $1 billion deficit and make sure that every dollar helps protect precious classroom funding.”

Affected employees are those in the 55 schools closing at the end of the current school year as well as those slated for “turnaround”, WBEZ reports. CPS said a portion of those losing their jobs were either probationary teachers or teachers with unsatisfactory performance reviews.

As the news trickled in late Friday, the Chicago Teachers Union had not yet been notified that the layoffs were happening, according to the Sun-Times.

CTU President Karen Lewis met with Byrd-Bennett Friday morning and no mention of layoffs was made, DNAinfo Chicago reports. At a press conference, Lewis said the pink slips were issued “before anyone knows how many students will return to CPS next year and how many students in closing campuses will actually enroll in so-called welcoming schools.”

At the closing schools, the cuts are nearly half of the staff which include teachers, paraprofessionals, bus aides and part-time staffers.

The CTU is inviting the public to attend an injunction hearing at the Dirksen Federal Building starting July 16.

If a proposed bill passes the City Council anyone caught buying a bootleg can be fined up to $1,000 and sentenced to up to a year in prison.

Council member Margaret Chin, who introduced the bill, said at a public hearing Thursday that counterfeits deprive the city of at least $1 billion in tax revenue a year that could support community improvements. What’s more, she says, the counterfeit trade has been linked to child labor and the funding of organized crime and terror groups. ”For tourists, it’s fun, it’s a bit of adventure,” Chin says. ”We have to let people know that if you engage in this activity you are committing a crime.”

Ashley Hunter, 30, of Kewshaw, S.C., shopping in the area, asks, “How would I know I’m not supposed to buy something, that there’s a fine?” Melissa Kirkpatrick, of Salt Lake City, Utah, wasn’t too concerned about the legality of the items selling on Canal Street, where she was with her family. Goldstein was just prepping to go after the singer of Lollipop‘s asset in South Florida, including the $11.6 million digs that the 30-year-old owns on the exclusive La Gorce Island, and some of prized cars parked inside, when the check was written.

Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs in Sterling Heights, MI has been accused of stiffing its landlord out of rent since the day it opened back in December 2012.

FYI — FFC&R is the last of 3 fried chicken joints Flav has tried to open in the past few years … one sputtered out in Iowa in 2011 and the other one died a slow painful death in Vegas in 2012.

Now, according to court docs obtained by TMZ, the Michigan location is also on the ropes … unless it finds a way to come up with $25,000 (missing rent + late fees + damages).

The papers show … FFC&R was late in making its monthly $3,500 monthly rent payment back in Sept and October — and stopped paying altogether in November.

The landlord warned Flav’s restaurant about the problem back in January … and just a few weeks ago, went back to the court in hopes a judge will kick Flav to the curb, stat.

We called Flav about the crisis … and he told us he had no idea the restaurant was in trouble. But the rapper insists, “I’m gonna figure out what’s going on and get to the bottom of this ASAP!”

According to figures from Billboard’s Boxscore chart, the Love On Top singer made the sum in the space of her six shows at the O2 Arena in late April and early May, when she played to over 97,000 fans.

And her three shows at the Manchester Arena between May 7 and 9 proved similarly successful, making her a further £2.9m.

The chart shows that only the Rolling Stones have made more from their recent tour, pocking £7.2m from four gigs at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre between May 25 and June 6.

Apparently Kanye West was finally convinced to move in with the parents. As the $9 million Bel Air estate he bought with Kim Kardashian continues to undergo construction, Kris Jenner has confirmed that the couple will be moving in with her for the time being. Being interviewed about her new talk show, Kris revealed the move to Hollywood Reporter.

The story only mentions the juicy details in passing: “There’ll be even more attention if Kim gets married to Kanye, who’s moving into Kris’ house with her (though, says Kim, “We have a hotel that she doesn’t know about yet.”).” First of all, Kris definitely knows about it now! It had previously been suspected that Kim, Kanye and their baby-to-be would move to Kris’ Calabasas mansion out of necessity. Kim recently sold her Beverly Hills home and Kanye has put his Hollywood Hills home on the market and already moved out it.

And since the home Kimye bought together is not yet ready to move into, it seems the couple will crash at Kris’ for a short time — they have nowhere else to go! At least they have that “secret” hotel room to get away to if they ever want a break from the wild world of Kris. Kim must have broken down Kanye’s pride, because as a source close to the rapper told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, Kanye had initially refused Kris’ invitation and wasn’t “trying to impose on nobody.”

That’s an honorable, proud feeling for Yeezy to have, but it’s also not necessary — Kris has an enormous house and she loves nothing more than having her family close. This summer, they’re jumping back into the reality TV/docuseries realm, with four unscripted shows, including “Hip Hop Sisters.”

On the show Lil Mama pairs up with legends like her mentor MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth, and Monie Love as they try to jump back into the rap game and go toe-to-toe with hip hop’s new generation of artists.

HIP HOP SISTERS is a docudrama following the relaunch of six female rappers’ careers. MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth, Monie Love and Lil Mama join forces and declare themselves the Hip Hop Sisters.

Their goal is to reclaim their titles as the Queens of Hip Hop — as they manage their drama-filled personal careers and lives and search for the next great female MC.

The name of the show comes from MC Lyte’s non-profit Hip Hop Sisters Network that promotes positive images of women of color and helping people with education.

The celebrity advisory board includes Jada Pinkett-Smith, Melanie Fiona, Chilli, Faith Evans, Kelly Price and Russell Simmons.

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned Leyla Ghobadi inked an agreement to be represented by Bret D. Lewis, who has rrepresented Bob Dylan, Ike Turner, Ruff Ryders and a host of record labels.

He has also acted for Jermaine Jackson and his brother Randy Jackson.

But just why Ghobadi, 24, hired an attorney who specializes in the music entertainment area is unknown.

And Lewis didn’t do much to clear up the mystery when RadarOnline reached him.

“She wanted my advice. I have been engaged to give her some advice,” Lewis told Radar, offering no specifics.

Asked if Ghobadi would be giving more interviews, he said: “We are in the process of deciding what she will be doing. I have been engaged to help her decide what her next steps should be. I am an established entertainment attorney and I will be representing her from hereon.

“I can’t tell you what her state of her mind (is).”

In the early hours of Thursday morning, the self-described VIP bartender/waitress, from Montreal, took to her Facebook page and begged people to “please respect my privacy.”

Earlier, she became engaged in a war of words with people on Twitter, before abruptly deleting her account.

“He was aggressive in his pursuit,” she wrote at one point. “I admit I didn’t have to do it ­ I got caught up in the situation. I used to idolize him.”

The plea for privacy came less than 24 hours after she went public with claims about a relationship with West, 36, which supposedly began in July 2012, when the “Love Lockdown” artist spotted Ghobadi dancing to his son “Mercy” in the front row at Revel’s Ovation Hall in Atlantic City.

She said he gave her and her friends free passes to another concert and invited them backstage, where he allegedly made his move.

After a while, “We began to make out for a while – and next thing I knew, we were both naked and having sex.”

2 Chainz and his entourage were casually walking down the street Sunday afternoon when at least 2 men approached the crew and pointed guns at them … one in a white shirt, the other in a black hoodie.

2 Chainz and his crew immediately scattered — frantically trying to sprint down the street while the gunmen chased after them.

One of the gunmen seemed to be having fun during the incident … and gleefully skipped after the rapper while 2 Chainz tried to get away.

During the chase, 2 Chainz stumbles and falls … and one of the gunmen pounces … hovering over the rapper with his gun drawn.

According to police, the bad guys jacked 2 Chainz for his cell phone and wallet. Towards the end of the video, you can see a man running back up the street with what appears to be the loot stuffed under his clothes.

Under the category: “Who ya gonna believe, me or your lyin’ eyes” … 2 Chainz later posted a tweet denying he was robbed … saying, “Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken.”

As far as the bad guys, so far no arrests have been made.

The hiring was first reported by ESPN’s Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne. Kidd will be introduced at a 2 p.m. ET news conference Thursday at Barclays Center.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to be named head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, and it’s a role I have been studying for over the course of my playing days,” Kidd said. “Championship teams are built on being prepared, playing unselfishly and being held accountable, and that’s how I expect to coach this basketball team. I am truly excited about this next phase of my basketball career.”

Kidd’s hiring came after the Nets met with Brian Shaw for five hours Wednesday. Sources told ESPN.com that, although Shaw had been targeted by the Nets for some time and made a strong presentation during Wednesday’s interview, Kidd convinced Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and his advisers that he is ready to jump directly into the lead seat on an NBA bench despite the fact that he has no prior coaching experience.

“Jason Kidd has a long and legendary history with the Nets and with the city of New York,” Prokhorov said. “He has the fire in the belly we need, and has achieved as a player everything the Brooklyn Nets are striving to achieve. We believe he will lead us there. Welcome home, Jason.”

The move reunites Kidd with the franchise he led to consecutive NBA Finals in 2002-03, when they played in New Jersey. He spent 6½ seasons with the Nets, averaging 14.6 points, 9.1 assists and 7.2 rebounds, and is their career leader in numerous statistical categories.

ESPN.com reported Monday that Kidd, in a sitdown Monday with Nets general manager Billy King, sold Brooklyn on the idea that the presence of former Nets and Detroit Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank can provide him with a lead assistant who can help Kidd compensate for his own lack of head-coaching experience.

Leyla Ghobadi tells Star her revelations are “going to destroy the Kardashian family … but if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know.

“It’s bad — it’s really bad — it’s just embarrassing.”

Ghobadi, a Montreal native, told the magazine she first met the cocky Paranoid singer in New Jersey when he spotted her in the crowd during a July 2012 show at Revel’s Ovation Hall in Atlantic City — a show Kim also attended. Ghobadi said Kanye deputized a roadie to bring her backstage, where he invited her out for cocktails.

West “invited me back to his hotel room, but I refused, as I felt it was too rushed,” Ghobadi told the magazine.

Ghobadi said West gave her free tickets to the next night’s show and backstage passes — again he, asked her back to his hotel room in hopes of hooking up — but Ghobadi said she demurred, as she was “concerned that he was seeing Kim Kardashian.”

West “told me that [his relationship with Kim] was for publicity and nothing serious,” Ghobadi told Star, admitting she finally relented to the superstar’s charms, accompanying him to his hotel room.

“We began to make out for a while and next thing I knew, we were both naked and having sex,” she told Star, adding that a second meeting in October — while Kim was already pregnant with his child — took place in New York, while Kim was in South Florida.

Cheban was flying from JFK to LAX — when a woman on his flight tweeted at him, “Jonathan Cheban is on my flight, should I cut him with my weapon?”

She added in another tweet, “I gotta pretty intense pocket knife with mehhh.”

Cheban, a former PR exec, responded, “Police?”

When the plane landed at LAX, the woman was escorted off by police and subsequently detained. We’re told cops were deeply concerned about her claim that she got a knife through airport security.

She later tried to bury the hatchet, tweeting back at Cheban, “It was a bad joke … you look really hot babe.” But airport police weren’t taking any chances.

Police searched the woman outside the plane and determined she did NOT actually have a knife. She was subsequently released without further incident.

Cheban tells TMZ, he never personally alerted authorities … someone else reported the tweets.

It’s probably not going to happen but seem like the logical next step after her baby daddy Kanye West told fans at his listening party at Milk Studios in NYC last night that he now prefers to go by the controversial name of his upcoming album instead of the last name he was born with.

“West was my slave name,” he told the crowd, which included Beyonce, Jay Z, Busta Rhymes, Timbaland and others. “Yeezus is my God name.”

This announcement came almost 24 hours before the controversy-prone rapper debuted his new song, “I am a God” to the crowd at the Governor’s Ball Music Festival.

Kanye told the listening party, he feels he is so beyond other artists that he will not release singles for this album, hopefully preventing his music from appearing alongside “related artists” on Youtube, he said. He also does not want to be played on the radio alongside lesser music, he has said.

Kanye then went on to brag to guests about how his father was in the Black Panthers after playing his new track “Black Skinheads,” which premiered at the Governor’s Ball to backup dancers in black KKK hoods.

Increasingly, Christians like Candace Cameron Bure have come forward to bash Kanye’s recent lack of humility. But as he insisted at the Governor’s Ball, he couldn’t care less.

“I had to learn about giving,” he told the crowd at Milk Studios. “This whole album is about giving, this whole process is about giving … no f**ks at all.”

“I have a new strategy,” he explained. “It’s called ‘no strategy.’ I have a plan to sell more music. It’s called, ‘make better music.’”

A record 5,695 people died from diabetes and related causes in 2011, the Health Department said.
That amounts to one death every 90 minutes, 16 deaths every day.

The surge in diabetes deaths comes even as the overall death rate is falling and life expectancy improving — so the portion of all city deaths linked to diabetes has nearly doubled since 1990, to 10.8%.

Officials linked the grim diabetes statistics to an increase in obesity. And they used the numbers to make another pitch for Mayor Bloomberg’s push to ban large sugary drinks. A state judge struck down the ban earlier this year, but the Bloomberg administration is appealing.

“In the wake of the obesity epidemic, we’ve got a diabetes epidemic,” said Health Commissioner Thomas Farley.
The city previously reported that 650,000 New Yorkers have diabetes, a jump of 200,000 since 2002.

Diabetes deaths are particularly high among black New Yorkers, who have a rate of 116 deaths for every 100,000 people, compared with 81 for Hispanics, 45 for whites, and 41 for Asians.

Men are dying at a rate 1.4 times higher than women.

And there are huge gaps between neighborhoods — with rates ranging from 19 deaths per 100,000 in Murray Hill, Manhattan, to 177 in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

But the rate of death has increased in almost all neighborhoods and fallen in only seven.

“It absolutely tracks the disparities in obesity. Low-income people and minorities tend to have higher obesity because they live in poor neighborhoods where they have less healthy foods and more unhealthy foods available to them,” Farley said.

An online Zap2It.com journalist penned an article aimed at Bey’s neck over the dangers of having babies in potentially dangerous situations.

Beyonce set a terrible example for moms and babysitters everywhere by dragging her one-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, into a jacuzzi before subsequently posting a photo of the event to her official Tumblr page. The “Run the World (Girls)” singer posted the black-and-white pic of herself sitting in a hot tub, clad in a swimsuit, sunglasses and turban while clutching her apparently sleeping infant daughter to her chest. The picture is drawing plenty of oohs, ahs and coos from Bey’s fan base, but one has to wonder what on earth this famous mom is doing taking her baby into a jacuzzi. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control warns, “Exclude children less than 5 years of age from using hot tubs.” And an article on the Livestrong website explains, “It’s dangerous to take your baby into the hot tub because of the heat. Your baby cannot regulate his body temperature well and can overheat in a hot tub quickly. Overheating can make him extremely uncomfortable and cause his heart to race. In some cases, overheating can cause death.” (Zap 2 It)

The writer also resorted to receiving a doctor’s professional opinion on the danger.

That said, perhaps Bey is simply trying to quash those baby-on-the-way rumors, as she did with that infamous red wine photo. Pacman insists he was merely “protecting himself” during the Wednesday night altercation outside of a Cincinnati nightclub … and judging from the video, it seems the woman made the first aggressive move.

The footage (around the 1:55 mark) shows a woman reaching over to Pacman with what appears to be a drink in her hand. It seems the woman poured her drink on Jones … and he reacted by unleashing a punch to her head.

The woman filed a police report accusing Jones of assault — and earlier today, the Cincinnati Bengals player turned himself in.

Pacman has defended himself on Twitter — writing, “Just got arrested for protecting myself … I will not let this break me or change what I have work so hard for … .”

Police reports show that the parents were standing outside of their apartment with their son, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told investigators that they heard Alvarez disciplining and spanking the child for wetting the bed, which they called “excessive.” Alvarez had allegedly whipped the child with a belt and Blake was too scared to intervene, because she thought it would upset him more.

Blake claimed she went to work, and when she returned the child was lethargic and not breathing. The couple continued to argue over taking him to the hospital, as Alvarez admitted to spanking the boy with a woven belt after he soiled himself earlier in the day.

An autopsy of the child showed he had a lacerated liver, severe internal bleeding and multiple bruising throughout his body, which is inconsistent with being whipped with only a belt.

The couple were charged for first-degree murder and child abuse. Their last court appearance was on May 13th.

According to new reports, Chris B. could face battery charges over his altercation with Ocean in January.

It turns out that the case wasn’t actually closed, and Brown is currently under criminal investigation for the fight. The D.A.’s office has an active file on the case, even though Ocean never formally pressed charges against Brown. Instead, he urged “sanity” and “forgiveness,” even though Brown called him a gay slur and threatened to shoot him during their encounter. The D.A. may still be able to pursue the case, even with the lack of a cooperating witness, if there is compelling evidence. The fight may come up during Chris Brown’s probation review hearing Monday. As part of his probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna, Brown is required to obey all laws. He is expected to appear in court for the hearing. (Inquisitr)

Back in March, Brown made sure to diffuse speculated issues between him and Ocean following the incident.

“With the Frank Ocean situation, I’ll put it like this, it’s in the past. Some stuff went down, but it’s whatever. It’s always sensationalized and always blown out of proportion. Ocean told police Brown tried to shake his hand, but Ocean refused, telling Brown he was in his parking spot. Ocean claimed that’s when Brown punched him in the face. According to the report, Ocean said two of Brown’s goons then jumped in to help Brown … pushed him into a corner and attempted to kick him. (TMZ)

As TMZ reported … Kobe went after his mother for trying to auction off jerseys, rings, trophies and scores of other items. Pamela Bryant claimed her son gave her the stuff, but Kobe claimed she was full of it and she was just pissed because he wouldn’t buy her an expensive house in Vegas.

Now Pamela and Kobe’s dad agreed to issue a letter of apology to the Lakers’ star, according to ESPN. In return Kobe agreed to let Pamela sell off just under 10% of the items.

So the legal issue is now resolved. As for family relations, we’re guessing that’s a whole other Oprah.
